The Route
The GREEN WHEEL relay is split into seven stages:| Stage | Details |
| Stage 1 - 8.8 miles | Embankment to Eye |
| Stage 2 - 4.2 miles | Eye to Bull PH, Newborough |
| Stage 3 - 6.4 miles | Bull PH, Newborough to Northborough Primary School |
| Stage 4 - 8.8 miles | Northborough Primary School to Alwalton |
| Stage 5 - 5.5 miles | Alwalton to Haddon |
| Stage 6 - 7.61 miles | Haddon to Stanground |
| Stage 7 - 5.70 miles | Stanground to Peterborough Embankment |
The minimum age for athletes is 16 except on stages 2 and 4 which are suitable for athletes of 15 and over.
PLEASE note -
Stage 1 (2023) There is no change to the start and finish or any changes to the route, however the path after turning from Willow Hall Drove towards Eye has been moved due to quarry
works resulting in the stage being slightly longer than in previous years.
Stage 5/6 (2024) The stage 5/6 handover point will now be at Haddon.
Stage 4/5 (2025) The stage 4/5 handover point has moved from Nene Park to Alwalton. Stage 4 now suiatble for athletes of 15 and over.
